Justice-Minded Kids

Coaching for Parents & Guardians

Because Justice begins at Home

It is a troubling time to be raising kids in this society. It is one thing to talk about grave injustices of the past, but how do we make sense of our present reality… a state-funded genocide, ICE raids at 8th-grade graduations, mass shootings in schools, and a Federal government more focused on restricting knowledge than protecting children from harm?

I often wonder how my grandparents explained occupation, colonization, independence, partition, and war to my parents. These reflections remind me that the lessons we teach at home matter deeply. Not only for our kids, but for the world they will shape.

Raising Inclusive & Justice-Minded Kids is a new offering at Thambusami. These coaching sessions provide parents and guardians with tools, language, and support to help children navigate complex issues such as racism, xenophobia, ableism, gender bias, and queerphobia.

Together, we’ll co-create a compassionate space for you to:

  • Build confidence in having difficult but necessary conversations.

  • Ask honest questions and work through awkwardness and discomfort through role play.

  • Learn how to raise kids who lead with empathy, justice, and courage.

Because even in troubling times, we can raise children with hope, imagination, and the strength to help build a more just society.

Take the first step.
Your children are watching, listening, and learning from you every day. Gain the tools and confidence to guide them well.
