Soul Care

Soul Care is a transformative practice that seeks to nurture and cultivate the essence of who you truly are. It goes beyond religion and dives into the core of you in relationship to God, Creator, the spiritual realm. It gives room to listen to your intuition and tend to your innermost thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. By embracing soul care, we embark on a journey of self-discovery and self-compassion. Recognizing that our spiritual well-being is deeply intertwined with our mental and physical health.

Many people of the Global Majority are finding their faith communities inadequate or find that their spiritual needs and deep yearnings require more room to be known and tended to. We require safe spaces to deconstruct, decolonize, question oppressive theology, rebuild hermeneutics, practice a Queer-celebrating faith, and make room for sacred contemplation as we pursue a liberated spirituality.

Soul Care honors your inner world. So many of us are masters of keeping up appearances. So gifted at being consistent in the midst of traumatic events happening around us and masking the impact of our own personal burdens and inner turmoil. This holistic care, known by various names such as spiritual direction, spiritual companionship, spiritual friendship, and soul care, aims to nurture and nourish our deepest spiritual yearnings. Regardless of your faith tradition, Soul Care helps unearth your truth and connection beyond the material world. If you're curious about what a Soul Care session entails or if you'd like to experience it firsthand, you can book a complimentary exploratory today to discover the profound impact it can have on your life.

What to expect in session

All sessions take place virtually over Zoom and last 50 minutes. I always leave flex time between sessions to avoid abrupt endings and to end in a gentle place.

When you enter our session, I provide an environment of welcome, ease, safety, and privacy. Depending on what you need, we can jump right in, take a moment in silence to arrive, or do breathwork. The session is guided entirely by your needs.

There is no right or wrong in sessions. You are invited to arrive just as you are, to speak openly and freely. Sometimes, you will arrive knowing exactly what you want to talk about; other times, things will come up that you were not anticipating. This space allows you to turn off the noise of the outside world and tend your soul and connect with the Divine. There is no wrong or right way. Wrong or right question.

Based on your needs, you can decide the cadence of our meetings. It can be weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.
